Ultrasound-Guided Biopsy in Savannah

Ultrasound does not produce ionizing radiation. Biopsies utilizing ultrasound guidance is the preferred method of breast biopsy and it does not require breast compression like mammography. The patient can lie comfortably on their back or side rather than on their stomach like in some mammography-guided and in every breast MRI-guided biopsy. A biopsy clip is placed at the site after the samples are obtained.
